The Double Peat is a super blended malt with some peated Islay and Speyside single malts blended together. Medicinal and maritime flavours of the Islay malts complement the sweet, heathery smokiness of the Speyside malts.
Smoky and intense with aromas of summer barbeques, grilled green pepper, embers and maritime saltiness, lifted with a grassy freshness.
Layers of peat reek and olive brine intertwine, displaying flavours of streaky bacon, fireplace soot, wood spices and smoke.
Notes of cigar smoke and liquorice slowly fade into tingly, sweet spices leaving a clove and anise linger on the tongue.
