Description
This is a blend their DoubleWood barrels and a secret Tasmanian Single Malt.
To honour and celebrate the courage and sacrifice of the many thousands of men and women who served their country. As the brightest and best from the fledgling Australian and New Zealand nations came together in far-flung lands, they have combined the finest aged whisky from the Dunedin Distillery, and married it with one of Tasmania’s best known Single Malts.
Tasting Notes
Nose – Soaked raisins with honey. Notes of ice wine along with sherry and berry jams. Interplay of both dry spices and sweet toffee with a hint of wet and dry leathers.
Taste – Mixed dried berry fruits. More raisin as well as green grapes with honey. Maraschino cherries, demerara sugars and complex spices.
Finish – A lighter finish than expected, perhaps. Both the wine and malt sweetness slowly recede with texture of the tannins from French oak cask, giving it depth.
