Description
Jean Fillioux tend to produce cognacs that are made by a hands-on artisan, usually in a small production run, and this 1994 Millesime Grande Champagne Cognac is no exception. Harvested and distilled in 1994, it was aged in brand new loose grain oak casks. As the name suggests, this edition is from the premier cru of the region – Grande Champagne, from a vineyard planted on a hilltop called: ‘La Pouyade’. Jean Fillioux has often used its distillery to make Cognacs for the big four brands, but fruit from ‘La Pouyade’ is reserved for the creation of its own brandies. A vintage year Cognac that represents exceptional value for money, The Jean Fillioux 1994 Millesime Grande Champagne Cognac is not one to be missed.”
