Description
A 2002-vintage Island single malt, made at Highland Park distillery and matured in a single refill sherry butt for 16 years, before being bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in September 2019, as part of its Connoisseurs Choice series. Aromas of freshly-cut grass, dark chocolate and ginger open on the nose, followed by toffee, caramelised orange peel and lemon zest. The palate offers notes of sweet golden syrup, grapefruit and cocoa powder, with undertones of vanilla, mixed nuts and gentle chilli spice.
