Description

The MacPhail’s Collection is a small and exclusive range of fine single malt scotch whiskies from distilleries throughout Scotland.

TASTING NOTE

Colour: Pale gold.

WITHOUT WATER:

Nose: Sweet toffee notes, with a freshness present and a citrus edge. Some vanilla with a touch of mixed spices becoming apparent.

Palate: Sweet, with a herbal edge, some cracked papper emerges and a delicate touch of vanilla.

WITH WATER:

Nose: Delicate rum and raisin notes, with a touch of marzipan/almonds. Some festive spices emerge – cinammon. With a tropical fruits edge.

Palate: Initially fresh with a burst of ripe tropical fruits and some sweet hints of sherry. Creamy with a touch of charred oak emerging.

Body: Light.

Finish: Short and warming.

Cask Type(s): Refill Sherry hogsheads.

Whisky Style: Light – a nice aperitif.
